Mock Daxton and Jenna Rinehart take victory at Highlands Gravel Classic

The Highlands Gravel Classic, held yesterday in Fayetteville–Goshen, Arkansas, once again delivered a demanding day of racing on the rolling gravel roads of the Ozarks. Riders faced a 67‑mile course for the younger age categories and a 53‑mile route for older riders, with over 300 participants on the start line, representing eight countries and 38 different US states.

Daxton dominates men’s race

In the men’s race, Mock Daxton (USA) emerged as the strongest rider of the day. The Wisconsin native rode away from his rivals to take a convincing victory at an average speed of 19.7 mph (31.7 km/h).

Daxton crossed the line 1 minute 46 seconds ahead of Lance Lakoski (USA, Colorado), while Oscar Mauricio Pachon Melo (USA, Georgia) completed the podium 6 minutes 15 seconds behind the winner.

Rinehart claims another Highlands title

e women’s race was won by Jenna Rinehart (USA) from Minnesota. Rinehart averaged 17.6 mph (28.3 km/h) on the challenging gravel course to secure a clear victory.

She finished 4 minutes 40 seconds ahead of Emily Newsom (USA, Texas), with Dylan Baker (Canada) taking third place at 17 minutes 22 seconds.

Rinehart’s win marks another Highlands Gravel Classic victory for the Minnesota rider, who also claimed the women’s title at this event in 2024.
