Mads Wurtz Schmidt just got his third UCI win of the season at the Danish UCI gravel race in Blaavand! It was a close fight between him and fellow Danish rider Magnus Bak Klaris. Mads made a strong move late in the race and won by 13 seconds. The two of them broke away from German rider Paul Voss on the third lap, who ended up finishing third, over four minutes behind. The three broke away early in the race together with Jonas Lindberg.

Hartog Dominates Women’s Race

In the women’s race, Dutch rider Larissa Hartog took her first UCI win! She had been close before, finishing second to Marianne Vos just two weeks ago. In the first lap, four riders, including Larissa and her compatriots Elisa Serné and Wendy Oosterwoud, along with German Maria Sigmund, quickly got ahead. Larissa was incredibly strong, dropping the others in the second lap to ride solo and win by an impressive 2 minutes and 9 seconds over Wendy Oosterwoud. Maria Sigmund finished third, 2 minutes and 23 seconds back.
