Winterberg hosted a spectacular weekend of gravel racing as the 3RIDES Gravel Race took on a new format, relocating to the renowned German winter sports destination as the final stage of a three-day stage race. Riders faced a demanding 129-kilometre route packed with challenging climbs around the Sauerland hills.
In the men’s race, Sweden’s Jonas Lindberg delivered a dominant performance to claim victory after a long day in the saddle. Lindberg steadily built his advantage throughout the race and crossed the finish line with a commanding margin of 6 minutes and 33 seconds over Belgium’s Kevin Panhuyzen, who secured second place after a strong ride. Germany’s Hannes Riegger delighted the home crowd by completing the podium in third place.
The women’s elite race saw another impressive display, with Nele Laing (GER) taking a convincing victory on home soil. Laing rode a controlled and confident race to finish 3 minutes and 24 seconds ahead of Elena Hartmann (SUI), who claimed second place. Nicole Frain (AUS) rounded out the podium in third, finishing 10 minutes and 8 seconds behind the winner.
Laing also won the stage race over three days. The male victory in the GC was for Kevin Kuhn (SUI).
