The Giro Sardegna Gravel once again delivered high‑level racing on the Gravelking UCI Gravel World Series, with elite riders battling across the fast and scenic gravel roads of southern Sardinia in a decisive World Championship qualifying race.
In the Men Elite race, Tobias König (GER) made a gap in the final of the second lap to take victory after 107 kilometres of racing. The German rider crossed the line over a minute clear of his closest rival, Anton Albrecht (GER) while Albert Gathemann (GER) completed an all‑German top three at 5 and a half minute. Lubos Pelanek (CZE) and Travis Bramley (GBR) completed the top 5.
The Women Elite race had a strong Italian performance, with Giorgia Vettorello (ITA) claiming a well‑earned victory after a demanding race across mixed gravel and dirt sectors. Tessa Neefjes (NED) finished second after an aggressive ride that kept pressure on the leader during the race, while Nicolien Luijsterburg (NED) secured third place to complete the podium a bit further behind. Janine Vierthaler (AUT) and Izabela Janusz (POL) got 4th and 5th.
