Highlands Gravel Classic first US qualifier in the UCI Gravel World Series

The city of Fayetteville in Arkansas, US will host the first UCI Gravel race in the new UCI Gravel World Series this weekend on a 66 or 52 miles courses in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas, known as the Highlands.  The city also hosted the UCI Cyclocross World Championships earlier this year and will have riders from 26 different US States at the start.

The 66 miles course, called the “Highlands” course has 95% gravel and starts from Fritchie Farms in Elkins near Fayetteville for a challenging course with 4950ft of elevation and counts as official qualifier event for all men 19-59 and women 19-49 years old.

The shorter 52 miles “Farmlands” course still has 3775ft of elevation and has the same start and finish as the long course but makes a shortcut halfway as qualifier for all men over 60 and women over 50.
