The second option for riders in the southern hemisphere to qualify for the first UCI Gravel World Championships will take place this weekend with the Gravelista event in Beechworth (VIC) – Australia.
Riders can expect a challenging 115km course with 85% gravel as qualifier distance for all younger men and women. It’s a rolling course passing through the Chiltern-Mt Pilot National park with a total elevation of 1740m.
A shorter 75km distance has the same start and finish but makes a shortcut after 68km and also skips the loop between 17-25km for a total elevation of 1100m as qualifier for the men over 60 and women over 50.
With day registrations, the event is expected to have in between 400 and 500 riders at the start.
