Ulven Gravl (The Wolf) has been a recreational event that moved into a competitive event with a course stretched in and around Dronninglund in northern Jutland (Denmark).

Course

The race takes place in the scenic surroundings of Dronninglund Storskov, one of Northern Jutland’s largest and most beautiful forests. Most of the course runs through this area, offering riders a varied, exciting, and hilly route that showcases some of the finest natural scenery in the region.

The course distance for one lap is 52km.  Young riders do 3 laps while older riders finish after 2 loops.

The Wolf features a loop through the surprisingly hilly North Jutland terrain near Dronninglund/Flauenskjold. The route varies from wide, fast gravel sectors to more challenging forest roads. The loop starts in Flauenskjold. After the first few kilometers, we turn into Voergaard Castle, passing the moat and the castle courtyard — a technical section that will ensure an early selection in the field. From there, the route continues on a mix of high-speed gravel and rugged forest tracks.

With 466m of elevation per lap, this course is challenging and harder than most riders would imagine in Denmark.
