Gravel Adventure is a scenic event which counted for the first time as UCI Gravel race in 2022. The event in Jakuszyce has a route leading along gravel roads in the scenic Izerskie Mountains.

Course

After starting from the parking lot in front of Hotel Biathlon Sport and Spa in Jakuszyce, riders enter a 10 km loop that begins with a road section and then transitions to a gravel section featuring a 2.6 km climb at an average gradient of 6.6%. They then pass the start line again to enter a larger 52 km eastern loop on the north side of the road connecting Szklarska Poreba and Swieradow Zdroj. A section of the course previously used between km 19-21 is traversed in the opposite direction to return to the second half of the course, which includes the long 7.7 km paved start climb from last year, the most challenging climb of the day. The final 6 km of the course is the same as the beginning.74% of the course is off-road, 26% is on paved surface, mainly on the longest climb of the day.

The mediofondo skips the northern part of the course, going directly to the 7.7km climb.

Profile

The start loop has a first 2.6km climb with an average gradient of 6.6% starting after 5.5km in the race, but the major challenge is located after 79 km when a 7.7km paved climb at 5.7% average brings riders from the lowest point on the course at 550m above sea level to the highest point on the course at 1050m.

JAKUSZYCE
