The unique UCI Gravel World Series event in Austria will have 2000 riders at the start and is again sold out for its second edition this weekend. After having received 1200 riders last year, the organizers decided to extend the course distance with a new 68km course with more gravel and only 2 instead of 3 laps from last year.
The older categories get a 84km course which is the big 68km loop plus a shortened finish loop for the men over 60 and women over 50.
Amongst the 2000 participants, we see defending champion Sebastian Schonberger (AUT) next to his compatriot Lukas Pöstlberger. On the female side, German national champion Carolin Schiff is keen to win the event which also doubles as Austrian national championships.
