Turnhout Gravel is a new event in the UCI Gravel World Series with a course that was used during the 2024 Belgian Gravel Championships attracting 1700 riders at the start in the gravel paradise on the borders of Belgium and the Netherlands

Course

The race with start and finish in the city center of Turnhout next to the cosy harbour will feature a 79km course to be done once or twice depending on the category.

The course is flat with long wide open “American style” gravel roads from which the second part has been used during the 2024 Belgian Gravel Championships.  The extension is in the first part with a northern section through the nature reserve “Vennengebied” and a remoted area in the north of Belgium, passing along the prison walls of Wortel Kolonie.  The second part follow the channel back to the finish line on long fast straight forward gravel paths.
