The 2029 UCI Gravel World Championships will be held in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland

UCI Gravel World Series

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has awarded the prestigious Gravel World Championships to the picturesque Swiss town of Villars-sur-Ollon. Known for its long-standing role in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series and its recent debut as a UCI Gravel World Series host in 2024, Villars-sur-Ollon is set to further solidify its position on the global cycling map.

Situated at an altitude of 1250 meters and surrounded by majestic mountains reaching heights of over 3000 meters, Villars-sur-Ollon promises a challenging course for true climbers.

The exact course details for the 2029 Championships are still under development. However, it is expected to feature a dynamic combination of flat sections in the valley near the UCI headquarters (located at an altitude of 375 meters) and demanding ascents leading to the Col de la Croix, where the finish line will be situated at 1800 meters in 2025.

Riders keen on testing the area can take part in the UCI Gravel Suisse on 28 June.
