PAS Racing conquers Monaco Gravel Race

UCI Gravel World Series

The inaugural Monaco Gravel Race, hosted this weekend in Peille and the scenic Mercantour National Park, proved to be a demanding 120km course with a significant 2400 meters of elevation gain.

In the men’s competition, Mads Wurtz Schmidt of Denmark secured his second UCI Gravel World Series victory this year, adding to his win in Belgium just a month prior. He crossed the finish line with a 3-minute, 43-second advantage over Austria’s Lukas Postlberger and nearly seven minutes ahead of Italy’s Mattia Gaffuri.

Meanwhile, Schmidt’s American teammate, Morgan Aguirre, dominated the women’s race, finishing a full five minutes ahead of her closest rivals. Australia’s Nicolas Frain took second place, with Germany’s Carolin Schiff rounding out the top three. This victory marked Aguirre’s first in the UCI Gravel World Series, highlighting an impressive showing for the Danish PAS Racing team, which celebrated wins in both the men’s and women’s events.
