A Destination Worth the Journey

Just 35 minutes north of Canada’s capital city – Ottawa, the colourful village of Wakefield sits along the Gatineau River and acts as the weekend home base for OG Classique. During race weekend, cafés and bakeries are filled with riders fueling up for the hills, while families and supporters explore riverside trails, boutiques, and scenic lookouts. It’s an ideal destination for a long weekend, combining sport, community, and nature in a compact and easily walkable setting.

  • Sweeping views over the Gatineau River.
  • The dramatic crossing of the Paugan Dam, a signature moment on the course.
