Seven will have more than 1000 riders at the second UCI Gravel World Series qualifier

The first Australian UCI Gravel event will take place this weekend in Nannup, Western Australia with actually 1055 registered riders at the start and registrations still open until Saturday night.

Nathan Haas is one of the famous stars and favourites for the win since the former road pro is now focusing on gravel racing since early this season.

The 125km qualifying distance for the younger age groups is set in the golden triangle of cycling in Western Australia and has 96% of unpaved gravel roads with some very scenic landscapes and challenging steep climbs in between the pine plantations, state forests and farms of the region.

The shorter 85km qualifier for the men over 60 and women over 50 used the same roads with a shortcut halfway.
