More than 1600 cyclists have registered for the 2025 SEVEN Gravel Race. This weekend’s event in Nannup, Western Australia, the largest gravel competition in Asia and Oceania, offers riders an exciting opportunity to preview the challenging courses set to host the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships.
The starting line will be a mix of international talent, with participants from 28 different countries. Among the elite riders competing are national champions Tiffany Cromwell and Mark O’Brien, the in-form Talia Appleton fresh off her “The Devil’s Cardigan” victory, 2024 runner-ups Cassia Boglio and Mark Chong, and the returning 2023 champion Tasman Nankervis.
The main 126km course is highly regarded within the UCI Gravel World Series for its breathtaking scenery. Besides the beauty, it also contains 13 categorized climbs. While these ascents may not be very long, they are known for their steep gradients, contributing to a significant total elevation gain of 3365m. For men over 65 and women over 50, a shorter “Five” variant covering 86km with 2100m of climbing is available as the UCI Gravel World Championships qualifier.
