The beautiful region on Monferrato in Piemonte, famous for its world-class wine, scenic hills and picturesque villages will be the host of the unique Italian qualifier event for the first UCI Gravel World Championships who will be held in Vicenza in October.
300 riders from 20 different countries have signed up for the event and will tackle the 125km course starting from Quattordio in Piemonte to make beautiful loops in the Monferrato region. The course has 1750m of elevation with lots of short but steep hills, a mixture of typical Italian “Strade Bianche”, paved roads and forrest roads.
There is also a shorter 65km course with 700m of elevation, following the same start and finish section with a shortcut halfway to qualify for men over 60 and women over 50.
