This weekend in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland, cyclists can tackle the challenging new 102km UCI gravel race with a total elevation gain of 2490m.
The race starts at 1250m and climbs to a maximum height of 1800m before descending towards Lac Leman and passing around the UCI headquarters in Aigle at 380m. Riders then face a flat 20km section followed by a final 10km climb to the finish. A shorter 60km option skips the flat part and caters to older riders.
The race is part of a long weekend of cycling events that also includes a UCI Gran Fondo World Series time trial today and the road Granfondo on Sunday. A total of 1500 riders from 40 countries have signed up for one of the three disciplines.
