The Australian qualifier for the UCI Gravel World Series shifted to Seymour for its third edition in 2024. This year’s course, while slightly less demanding in terms of elevation compared to the previous year’s Beechworth event, still promises a challenging 135km ride with 1240m of elevation gain.
The race begins in Seymour and transitions into a 42km loop after 26km. Riders will complete this loop twice before returning to the finish line in Seymour.
For the men over 60 and women over 50 categories, a shorter 95km route with 800m of elevation is offered.
A standout feature of the course is a steep 1km climb early in the local loop, averaging 10% and peaking at 15%.
A strong field of 517 riders has signed up, including defending champions Connor Sens and Courtney Sherwell, as well as national champion Brendan Johnston, Cassia Boglio, and Tasman Nankervis.
