Gravel Grit ‘n Grind with a 3 days stage race

The sixth round of the Trek UCI Gravel World Series takes place this weekend with a three days stage race in Halmstad (SWE).

The weekend starts on Friday with a 23km time trial followed by two gravel races on Saturday and Sunday for a general classification over the three days.

Only the gravel race on Saturday counts as qualifier event for the UCI Gravel World Championships.  Riders finishing in the top 25% of their age group that day will get their ticket for Worlds!

The qualifier distance is a 124km race for all men 19-59 and women 19-49 and a shorter 92km distance for all men 60+ and women 50+.

The long course has an elevation of 1280m while the short course has 870m of elevation.

The stage race end on Sunday with a 80km race in nearby Simlangsdalen.

228 riders have pre-registered for the Saturday race, representing 23 different nationalities (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Belgium, Ukraine, Italy, Poland, Estonia, Spain, Honduras, Czech Republic, USA, New Zealand, South Africa and Austria)
