The new UCI Gravel race on the island of Sardegna this Thursday is part of the bigger Giro Sardegna week full of rides and granfondos and will have 600 riders at the start representing 22 different nationalities.
The course starts and finishes in front of the ITI Marina Resort in Orosei on the east side of the island with a 13km route towards a 41km local lap which needs to be done two or three times depending on the category.
The course includes a climb in the beginning, a longer paved section in the middle and a stunning passage over the beach and pine woods close to the beach in the second half of each lap. Finish is back after a paved section in front of the ITI Marina Resort.
Total elevation for the full 136km course is 1728m while the older categories finishing after 2 laps will have 1187m of elevation on their 95km race.
