The first qualifier event one week past the very successful 2025 Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships will take place on big parts of the course of last year’s World Championships with start in Heverlee and finish in Leuven on a new location.
The course is for 60% the local lap of last year with an add-on in Wallonia and a new final towards the finish.
The 48km loop with a slightly different start will need to be done three times for most categories while the men over 60 and women over 50 finish after 2 laps. Total elevation is respectively 950 and 610m.
In the men elite, we see Floris Van Tricht, the 4th of the World Championships of last week. He will get opposition of Paul Voss, Greg Van Avermaet, Kevin Panhuyzen, Lukas Malezsewski and Jan Bakelants. Tessa Neefjes is the main favourite in the women elite. A total of 1200 riders have registered.
