In the latest chapter of the TREK UCI Gravel World Series, the Polish leg held this weekend in Szklarska Poreba and Jakuszyce, Dutch rider Hans Becking continued his winning ways, securing his second victory of the season after his Kenyan triumph a month ago.
A thrilling sprint finish saw him edge out Belgian Mauro Verwilst, while another Belgian, Seppe Rombouts, crossed the line 37 seconds adrift in third place.
On the women’s side, German champion Carolin Schiff further cemented her dominance in the series, adding a third victory to her collection after previously conquering the Millau and Singen legs. Her impressive form over the past month was again on display as she capitalized on the day’s longest climb at the 70km mark, creating a decisive gap that propelled her to victory. The podium remained entirely German, with Jade Treffeisen finishing second at 6 minutes and 40 seconds back, followed by Unbound Gravel winner Rosa Klöser in third, just over 10 minutes behind the leader.
