After a break of two weekends without events, around 500 riders from 18 nations will take on the Gravel Challenge in Szklarska Poręba – Jakuszyce tomorrow, set in Poland’s Izerskie Mountains.
The main event is a 120 km course (2,355 m+), raced in one large loop combining fast gravel with sustained climbing. The key moment comes just after halfway with a decisive 7.7 km paved climb, likely to shape the race outcome.
A shorter 66 km route (1,286 m+), as qualifier distance for older categories, follows the start and finish sections of the long course while skipping its middle part connecting faster to the long paved climb.
With varied terrain, constant elevation changes and a compact international field, riders can expect a challenging and scenic day in one of Central Europe’s top gravel destinations.
