Important changes have been confirmed to the 2026 Gravelking UCI Gravel World Series calendar in Colombia, following discussions with local organisers, authorities, and the national federation.
The Gravel Bogotá event, initially scheduled for this weekend, will no longer take place as planned. To ensure the highest standards of safety and organisation, the event has been rescheduled to 2 August 2026 and will be hosted in Chía, part of the greater Bogotá region.
As a result of these adjustments, the UCI Gravel Medellín event, originally planned for 8 August 2026, will not take place this year. Instead, the Medellín gravel race has been postponed to the 2027 season, allowing more time to prepare and deliver the event at the expected level of quality.
Despite the cancellation of the gravel event, Medellín will remain on the UCI calendar in 2026. The city is set to host the UCI Gran Fondo Colombia on 29 November 2026, as part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, ensuring that Colombian riders and international participants will still have a major qualifying opportunity later this year.
These changes reflect a commitment by all stakeholders to prioritise rider safety, operational quality and long-term event sustainability in Colombia.
