The 114 Gravel Race returned for its second edition as part of the Gravelking UCI Gravel World Series, again drawing 500 riders to a route that links Portugal and Spain and the cities of Elvas and Badajoz.
This year’s course was redesigned, adding more climbing on the Portuguese side and extending the distance to 137km.
In the women’s elite race, Australia’s Nicole Frain—winner in Belgium last weekend—confirmed her early-season form with a second straight victory, beating Germany’s Romy Kasper by 1m26. Britain’s Sophie Wright completed the podium, 6m56 back.
In the men’s elite, European champion Mads Würtz Schmidt (Denmark) rode in his stars jersey to an emphatic win. Belgium’s Daan Soete finished second at 7m41, while Lawrence Naesen took third at 9m12 after winning the sprint ahead of Britain’s Jenson Young.
For both Frain and Würtz Schmidt, it marked a second win in the Gravelking UCI Gravel World Series in 2026.
