The UCI Gravel Arteaga – Mexico marks the first-ever UCI Gravel World Series event in Mexico. Hosted in Arteaga, Coahuila, a mountain destination known as the “Swiss Alps of Mexico”, the event showcases high-altitude gravel racing in the spectacular Sierra Madre Oriental. Part of the 2026 Gravelking UCI Gravel World Series, Arteaga is one of the newest and most exciting venues on the global calendar.
Course
Gran Fondo – 135 km (UCI Qualifier Mens 19 to 59 years – women’s 19 to 49 years )
A world-class high-altitude challenge with approximately 2,200 m of climbing, reaching elevations above 2,700 m.
- Start elevation: ~1,800 m
- Terrain: 85–90% gravel and dirt, with mixed technical sectors
- Profile:
- Long early ascent during the first 40 km
- High-mountain ridgelines and forest trails
- Fast, scenic, continuous descent back to Arteaga
A demanding, spectacular course that reflects the true spirit of gravel at altitude.
Medio Fondo – 85 km (UCI Qualifier Mens 60 to 79 years – women’s 50 to 99 years )
Designed for experienced riders seeking a competitive and scenic challenge, the 85 km Medio Fondo mirrors the essence of the Gran Fondo on a shorter scale.

With 1648m of elevation for the full course or 854m for the medium course, the route is challenging with climb varying from 4-9km long and gradients between 3,5 and 5%. Climbs are never very steep but keep on lasting on rolling terrain.
