Dustman, the only Asian UCI Gravel event taking place this Saturday in Kanchanaburi, Thailand had rainy weather conditions making the event muddy and slippery for a challenging 130km.
Toki Sawada from Japan won with an impressive 3m17 lead to Danish Tobias Moerch Kongstad with Rick Nobel from the Netherlands in third position at 10m42. The rest of the field in these difficult circumstances were far behind with number 4 at already 22 minutes. The average speed of Sawada was 31,5 km/h. First Thai rider in the men’s race was Phasit Intaya finishing 15th.
Caroline Livesey from Great Britain was the winner in the women elite race in an average speed of 26.9 km/h. With a limited number of elite women at the start, the second place in the women’s race went to Dimitylee Duke from Australia with her compatriot Sofia Erhard as overall third, both from the 40-44 Age group. Kunlaporn Charoensuk was the first rider from the homecountry, finishing as fourth.
