The last qualifier weekend promises to be overwhelming with the presence of a lot of high level pro riders in Girona. Last week’s winner Romain Bardet goes for his third UCI win in a row, but will get competition from 2023 world champion Matej Mohoric and his teammate and last year’s winner Matevz Goveckar. Also Dorian Godon and Ivan Garcia Cortina will attend the race, next to the gravel specialists like Petr Vakoc, Jack Haig and mountainbiker Tiago Ferreira.
In the women elite and next to the day win, there will also be a battle for the points ranking as Nicole Frain is in the lead with only a small margin of 35 points to Wendy Oosterwoud in this last weekend of the season. Both are at the start but will be challenged by Paris Roubaix winner Alison Jackson, Morgan Aguirre, winner in Monaco earlier this year and Tiffany Cromwell.
