The 4th edition of the UCI Gravel World Series in Millau with finish under the iconic Viaduct de Millau started under some rainy conditions, but the sun came out quickly.
In the men elite race, the race was open from the beginning with a leading group slowly getting reduced to 5 riders in the Military camp of Larzac with Hugo Drechou (FRA), Daan Grosemans (BEL), David Lozano (ESP), Petr Vakoc (CZE) and Dorian Godon (FRA). In the end, it was Godon outsprinting Vakoc on the line with Hugo Drechou doing the same ahead of Daan Grosemans for third spot 23 seconds later.
In the women elite race, Axelle Dubau Prevot (FRA), Cassia Boglio (AUS) and Carolin Schiff (GER) fought a battle for the win. Dubau Prevot managed to get away right on the first climb to build up a steady lead to finally win 6 minutes ahead of Boglio with Schiff finishing at more than 10 minutes.
