Europe’s biggest gravel race returns as Marly Grav Race

The sold-out Marly Grav Race, the third edition of the Dutch UCI qualifier in Limburg (formerly Gravel Fondo Limburg), is set to attract a world class peloton. A staggering 2550 riders from 26 nations will line up for the start.

Adding serious star power to the event are WorldTour talents like double vice world champion Florian Vermeersch and his UAE teammate Tim Wellens, alongside Soudal Quick Step’s Yves Lampaert and Pascal Eenkhoorn. The women’s race promises excitement with Lorena Wiebes, European road champion and third in the last World Championships, facing strong competition from Tessa Neefjes, Ambert Kraak and Wendy Oosterwoud.

The peloton will also feature legendary figures of cycling like Johan Museeuw, Sven Nys, Greg Van Avermaet, Niki Terpstra and Dirk De Wolf.

This year’s updated course includes a roughly 50km loop, resulting in a 155km challenge for most younger categories, while older riders will tackle a 100km route. The race kicks off on the iconic Cauberg, but the true highlight is a passage through the unique Valkenburg marl cave during the final lap so you also know where the new name refers to.

With this massive turnout of 2550 participants, Valkenburg proudly becomes the largest one-day gravel event in all of Europe.
