In France, the organizers of the existing 66 Degrés Sud UCI Granfondo have aet up a new UCI gravel event in the Pyrenees in Les Angles with the Pyrenées Catalanes Gravel Tour. The 110km course promises to be challenging with a start at an elevation of 1600m and goes up to 2000m. Older categories have a shorter 70 km course. Riders can expect over 2000m of climbing.
Also on Saturday, Mammoth TUFF is a new US qualifier in California and is probably even harder than France with a total elevation of 7500 feet over the 88 miles course. Also here, a shorter 67 miles course qualifies the older categories.
